Entry Requirements

An applicant seeking admission to this programme shall:

1.       Hold a Bachelor's degree preferably in social sciences, humanities, business or law, or equivalent;
2.       Satisfy one of the following minimum English language requirements if the qualification obtained is from a university or institution where the medium of instruction and/or examination is not English;

·       TOEFL: A score not lower than 79 (Internet-based test) or 550 (Paper-based test)  @^; or

·       IELTS: Overall score of 6.5 or above@#; or  

·       CET-6 (College English Test Band 6) in mainland China: A score of 430 or above*; or

·       Other equivalent English proficiency qualifications. 

Note:  
@TOEFL and IELTS scores are valid for two years from the test date until the application submission.Only scores in one single attempt that meet the specific English proficiency requirements for each programme will be accepted. TOEFL (Home Edition) and IELTS (Online) scores are NOT accepted.  

^Applicants must have their official TOEFL score report sent directly to the College by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). The TOEFL institution code for Hong Kong Chu Hai College is 9495.  
#Applicants must have their official IELTS score report sent directly to the College via the official IELTS Results Service e-delivery.  

*CET-6 (College English Test Band 6) scores must be obtained on or after June 2005. If necessary, the College may request applicants to apply through the National Education Examinations Authority to have their scores sent directly to us.  

Application Procedures

Applicants can register online and upload the following documents to the Admissions Application System (original documents or certified copies issued by the relevant authorities must be presented during the interview):  

·         One recent passport-size photo; and

·         Photocopy of Identity Card / Passport; and 

·         Photocopy of Degree Certificates^ 

^Local or Overseas applicants with Hong Kong or international qualifications are required to submit online:

1. A certified copy of the Graduation Certificate (畢業證書) issued by the relevant institution (e.g. Registry or equivalent)@#; and  

2. An official/original/certified true copy of Transcript with University official stamp (正式蓋章成績單) issued by the relevant institution#.  
Applicants must also arrange for the issuing university or institution to send the following documents directly to the Student Admissions and Administration Office in a sealed envelope:  
   1. A certified copy of the Graduation Certificate (畢業證書); and  
   2. A certified copy of the Transcript with University official stamp (蓋章成績單)  
      (If the issuing university or institution only provides electronic transcripts, these should be emailed directly from the university or institution to the Student Admissions and Administration Office).

1. A certified copy of the Degree Certificate (學位證書) and Graduation Certificate (畢業證書) issued by the relevant institution (e.g. Registry or equivalent)@#; and  
2. An official/original/certified true copy of Transcript with University official stamp (蓋章成績單) issued by the relevant institution#; and  
3. The latest Verification Report of China Higher Education Student's Academic Transcript (OVRT)(中國高等學校學生成績驗證報告), the Online Verification Report of Higher Education Qualification Certificate (教育部學歷證書電子註冊備案表) and the Online Verification Report of Higher Education Degree Certificate (OVDR) (中國高等教育學位線上驗證報告) issued by the CHSI (學信網) or CDGDC (學位網)*.  

^Mainland applicants with Hong Kong or international qualifications are required to submit online:
1. A certified copy of the Graduation Certificate (畢業證書) issued by the relevant institution (e.g. Registry or equivalent)@#; and  
2. An official/original/certified true copy of Transcript with University official stamp (蓋章成績單) issued by the relevant institution#; and  
3. Overseas Credentials Evaluation Report (國外學歷學位認證書) issued by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) (中國留學服務中心);  

Note:

*Please ensure that the validity period of the relevant verification reports is at least 6 months at the time of application submission

@If the applicant is a recent graduate, please submit a Study Proof (在學證明) and the latest Transcript from the institution, indicating the expected graduation date.

#If the academic Transcript or Graduation Certificate issued by the institution attended is in a language other than Chinese or English, a certified English translation must be submitted along with the documents.

·         The College may request applicants to provide a Report for Qualifications Assessment issued by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) on the level of qualification obtained, if necessary.

·         Applicants must provide a photocopy of their Proof of English Language Proficiency for qualifications obtained from an institution of which the medium of instruction is not in English (if applicable).

·        Selected applicants will receive an interview invitation by email.

Application Fee

Non-refundable application fee of HK$300 for local applicants or HK$600 for non-local applicants for each programme.

Tuition Fee for 2025/26AY

  • One-year Full-time Programme: HK$155,000 payable in two installments.
  • Two-year Part-time Programme (Local Applicants Only): HK$155,000 payable in four installments

Note:
Tuition fees are the same for both local and non-local students. Students taking more than the minimum credits required for graduation will be charged on a per-credit basis.

Fall Intake for the 2025/26 Academic Year:  

  • For Local and Non-local Applicants:
    • First Round: 1 November 2024 to 24 January 2025
    • Second Round: 10 February 2025 to 30 May 2025

Spring Intake for the 2025/26 Academic Year:  

  • For Local and Non-local Applicants: 01 August 2025 to 10 October 2025
